About the role
We are searching for a senior marketer to be a part of the Revenue APAC team, supporting our Cross Sell motion. As a Senior Marketer, Cross Sell, you will be a critical part of the team, driving plan upgrades, retention and product cross sell. It consists of working very closely with PMM to localise and shape value propositions, working with creative and agency teams to create content, and execution and amplification of this content to drive revenue. You will work very closely with sales and the wider marketing team, as well as Customer Success.
The remit sits across all of APAC so you will be charged with creating scalable programs that can have localised execution by sub region / language.
What You'll Do
Set the Marketing Cross Sell Content and Amplification Strategy and Execute with Excellence:
Adapt and localise value propositions in partnership with PMM
Develop an impactful thought leadership, content and amplification strategy for reaching our ideal customer profile across the region
Execute strongly against this via agencies and leveraging in-house tools
Your key KPIs will be qualified sales leads and Revenue, in alignment with the sales team’s targets. In addition, Churn Prevention will be an important leading metric for your role.
In your toolkit, you will have deep experience in marketing and positioning strategy, content creation, test and learn methods and an understanding of the local tactics and channels that are most effective for the various markets in APAC including owned channels and partner amplification
You have a strong understanding of the eCommerce landscape and have worked in B2B SaaS marketing.
You will be adept at working cross functionally and also as part of a global matrix organisation, including Partner, Events, Brand and Performance Marketing, to ensure all Creative content is localised and insights-driven.
Immerse in the Data: You will be data-centric with the ability to mine data for funnel insights to refine marketing strategies and to deeply understand results and impact.
AI Reflexivity: As every employee at Shopify must do, you should have a keen interest in AI and how it can drive your personal productivity as well as the effectiveness of your Growth programs and campaigns.
Communicate & Influence: You should have strong communication skills to be able to clearly communicate strategies, plans and overall impact, as well as the key market insights as a market SME.
Be the Voice of the Region: Translate relevant global brand campaigns into locally resonant "expressions" that connect with customers across APAC, and building from the ground up where needed
Key Responsibilities:
Custodian of the Shopify Cross Sell Value Propositions (Plus Upgrade, Product specific, Retention/Renewal plays) for our target merchants across APAC, based on finding fit between merchant needs, product features and the market and competitive landscape
Craft messaging frameworks, creative briefs, and content using Shopify’s branding principles and a network of agencies where relevant
Develop a POV for product specific buying personas, e.g. Head of Payments, and adapt / create content as relevant to reach and influence these decision makers
Build a plan to amplify these messages amongst our target audience
Contribute to building culture and upholding Shopify values in the growing APAC region.
Liaise with peers across global markets to build context on our high profile markets and our needs, refine processes and evolve the role.
About You and Qualifications:

This is an individual contributor position
