Today, we’re tapping into the unlimited potential of AI to define the next era of computing. An era in which our GPU acts as the brains of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can understand the world. Doing what’s never been done before takes vision, innovation, and the world’s best talent. As an NVIDIAN, you’ll be immersed in a diverse, supportive environment where everyone is inspired to do their best work. Come join the team and see how you can make a lasting impact on the world.
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team working at the intersection of robotics, simulation, developer workflows, and core software infrastructure. In this role, you will work with experienced engineers to build robust, flexible software components and integrations that support modern robotics and simulation workflows. You will contribute to systems that span local and distributed environments, connect multiple software components and frameworks, and help improve the reliability and usability of NVIDIA’s software stack. This role is a strong fit for someone who is excited to grow across multiple areas over time, including robotics, simulation, core software libraries, integration layers, developer tooling, and performance-oriented systems/simulation software.
What you'll be doing:
Contribute to production-quality software across robotics, simulation, tooling, and integration layers.
Help design, implement, test, and maintain software components that are robust, flexible, and easy to evolve.
Work with senior engineers to integrate frameworks, runtimes, libraries, and services across NVIDIA's software stack.
Support robotics and simulation workflows, including sensor, physics, runtime, or content-related components where needed.
Improve software quality through testing, debugging, code review, documentation, and automation.
Contribute to developer productivity and engineering efficiency through tooling, scripting, and workflow improvements.
Learn and work across a range of current and emerging areas, including robotics platforms, simulation environments, cloud-connected workflows, and core high-performance software components.
Work with multi-functional teams including software engineers, simulation engineers, robotics researchers, and technical artists.
What we need to see:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience with software development skills in C++ and Python. (Rust, Go, Dashboards, etc. will be a plus)!
Good understanding of core software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, APIs, debugging, testing, and maintainable code design.
Comfort working in Linux environments and using shell scripting or command-line tools.
Curiosity about building reliable software systems and improving code quality over time.
Strong curiosity, learning ability, and willingness to work across unfamiliar technical areas as the team’s needs evolve.
Good collaboration and communication skills, and a willingness to work closely with more experienced engineers and multi-functional partners.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Experience with robotics, simulation, or autonomous systems through coursework, projects, internships, research, or open-source work.
Experience integrating software components, libraries, frameworks, or services across a larger system.
Familiarity with developer tooling, CI/CD, test automation, or software release workflows.
Exposure to distributed systems, containers, cloud-connected services, or Kubernetes, though these are a plus rather than a requirement.
Experience with systems-level software, including concurrency, memory efficiency, profiling, or optimization.
